What is BlockBots?

BlockBots is a bot detection and traffic filtering platform that helps you identify and block malicious automated traffic on your website or API. It analyzes incoming requests using traffic metadata and behavioral signals to distinguish real users from bots.

BlockBots helps you:

• Block scrapers, crawlers, and content thieves
• Reduce click fraud on paid advertising campaigns
• Protect forms and login pages from credential stuffing
• Filter out fake traffic and improve analytics accuracy
• Reduce server load caused by abusive automated traffic

How it works

1. Your website or API sends traffic metadata to BlockBots
2. Our detection engine scores each request
3. You receive a classification (human / bot / suspicious) and act accordingly
4. Blocked traffic never reaches your origin server

Integration methods

There are three ways to integrate BlockBots into your project:

JavaScript SDK — runs in the browser and analyzes canvas fingerprints, user agent, browser signals, and IP address. Works with any website or web app. Get started with the JavaScript SDK.

PHP Standalone — a single blockbots-standalone.php file you include at the top of any PHP page. Runs detection server-side before your page renders — no framework or plugin required. Get started with the PHP integration.

WordPress Plugin — a drop-in plugin that intercepts requests before WordPress processes them, blocking bots, scrapers, VPNs, and proxies with minimal overhead. Get started with the WordPress Plugin.
